David Oppenheim plays online at White Label Casino.
David was first introduced to poker near the end of his college career and it didn’t take long for the game to become his new passion. Soon after leaving school, he was playing games at the $300-$600 level. Today, he’s a regular player in the biggest cash games in the world.
Like many high-limit cash game players, he started playing the bigger tournaments only recently. David finished third in the $5,000 No-Limit Hold ’em Championship at the 2003 Borgata Poker Open, and scored a few smaller money finishes until 2007, when he finished third in the $5,000 Seven-Card Stud event at the 2007 WSOP.
In the 2008 WSOP, David reached the final table in both the $10,000 Seven-Card Stud and $10,000 Mixed Event tournaments, finishing seventh and ninth respectively to take home over $100,000 in winnings. All told, David’s winnings in 2008 exceeded $600,000.
David’s interests include golf, reading, and traveling when he has the time, but his wife and three kids are a good reason to stay closer to home.
